Tulip Day 2025 is a free spring celebration in Union Square, hosted by the Union Square Alliance, Athos, the Dutch Consulate, and the City of San Francisco. With 80,000 tulips to pick, an opening ceremony, and a performance by the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus, the event draws over 50,000 attendees while supporting local businesses.

Bring your little ones for interactive and musical activities, led on a rotating basis by Happily Ever Laughter, JAMaROO Kids, Music Together of SF, and the SF Public Library. Learn to make and take home a wide-ranging variety of arts and crafts, from knitting to upcycled sculptures to natural printmaking. Drop in anytime during the program and stay as long as you’d like. The United Hellenic American Societies will host the 2025 Greek Independence Day Celebration at Union Square Plaza in San Francisco. The festivities begin at 1:00 p.m. with a lively parade, followed by the Greek flag raising at the top of the Westin St. Francis Hotel at 2:00 p.m., accompanied by a performance of the Greek National Anthem. Enjoy live Greek music by George Mylordos and the Kymata Band, traditional Greek dance performances, and moving poems, songs, and stories honoring the heroes of the Greek Revolution of 1821. The event is free and open to the public.
