San Francisco, CA – A total of 28 members of the San Francisco Police Department will be recognized on Sunday by Mayor London Breed and the Union Square Alliance for their actions in response to the Aug. 31 shooting of 49ers football player Ricky Pearsall.

We want to thank the Union Square Police deployment for their swift response, which was critically important and led to the immediate apprehension of the suspect. This holiday weekend, our police presence in Union Square has been increased further for the safety of the community.
