About Union Square In Bloom
Union Square in Bloom Presented by JPMorganChase is a beloved annual celebration of the district’s floral roots. From March to September 2026, visitors immersed themselves in stunning floral displays, curated events, hotel experiences, fashion, food, and cocktails as Union Square blossoms into a fresh era of floral festivities.

Tulip Day Presented by JPMorganChase
For one day a year, Union Square is transformed into a blooming field of 80,000 FREE Dutch tulips.
Held traditionally in honor of International Women’s Day, Tulip Day Presented by JPMorganChase on Saturday, March 21st kicked off San Francisco’s annual Union Square in Bloom initiative, in which businesses celebrated the arrival of Spring and Summer with floral displays, food, cocktails, and events, to celebrate Union Square’s rich floral tradition.
On Tulip Day Presented by JPMorganChase, the public was invited to pick a free bouquet of tulips (eight tulips per person), and to enjoy the floral installations in the Union Square district to welcome the new season.
Union Square Local Garden
The Union Square Local Garden Presented by JPMorganChase & Amazon was a five month-long promotional program designed as a core component of the broader Union Square in Bloom initiative. Its primary goal is to drive consistent foot traffic and generate increased revenue for local businesses participating in Bloom.
This program featured a diverse array of Union Square businesses—including galleries, restaurants, hotels, salons, and more.
Through creative, themed promotions, our participating businesses created compelling reasons for the public to visit, engage, and spend within the district, strengthening the economic vitality and community fabric of Union Square.

Bloom Fashion Show Presented by Levi Strauss & Co.
The Union Square Alliance was thrilled to partner with the With Love Halston Foundation and the Academy of Art to present the 2026 Bloom Fashion Show Presented by Levi Strauss & Co. in Union Square Plaza on Friday, May 8th from 1-3PM.
This event was the public debut of ten Academy of Art student designs, in participation of the With Love Halston design challenge honoring the legacy of Halston, the great American fashion designer. The winner was selected by a panel of esteemed judges after the fashion show, and the winning design was awarded to Eva Kam. Stay tuned for more details! Bloomie Awards
The Bloomie Awards celebrated Union Square businesses that brought “Union Square in Bloom” to life, honoring creativity and excellence in categories like cocktails, design, dining, and more. Here are the winners from 2026:

Marbled Mint is an established floral design team with a studio based in San Francisco, in the heart of the Mission district. They specialize in weddings, team-building workshops, and curated experiences. Their passion is to bring beauty and joy into the community!
